This Worth afternoon gown is based on the photograph you can see in the background. Made from my own pattern the dress is a mixture of cotton and Wedgewood blue silk.

The skirt is ruched and trimmed with antique lace and matching pleated silk and is trimmed with a silk bow. The bodice is trimmed with blue braid and has a scalloped peplum of silk, faux jewelled buttons and lace. The train is made from matching fabric and has a butterfly effect at the top and is again trimmed with matching silk bow.

 

The doll is from a Gina Bellous mold painted and wigged by myself. Her hair is made from dyed silk tussah. She has blue painted shoes, faux blue jewelled necklace and earrings and she has painted fingernails.
